Subsea Connectors

We design and produce a variety of subsea hull connectors; the type depends entirely on the use - a connector for injecting grout into a flooded member will be entirely different from a connector to remove oil from a stricken vessel in an environmentally sensitive area. We manufacture four different types of hull connection, these can be adapted to your needs or entirely new schemes invented to meet your specification.

Grouting Connectors

Grouting Connectors

This is a 3" mechanical connection for grout injection into a platform brace as used in the Danish section of the North Sea.

Swage-o-Let

This newly developed and patented tool will make it possible to form a large diameter subsea connection to a hull or tubular by ROV.

The tool is esentially a combination of the following -

  • a drill
  • a plug
  • a swaged connection
  • a flanged outlet

This unit is now being refined and developed specifically for Salvage work and will be available shortly through Svitzer Salvage.

Swage Bolt

Swage Bolt

These anchors can be deployed by ROV or diver. They work by drilling through the hull. when through, a hydraulic supply is fed to their own built in jacks which swage the anchor into the hull when energised. The anchor can either fix a lug to the hull or can be screwed to the large diameter thread on the jack body.

Hot Tap

Hot Tap

Trials on Hot Tap connection through valve prior to shipment to pipeline repair in Mexico.
