Bolting Systems
If you are working on a wreck you need to get a hold of it -
What ever your needs we can come up with a solution or invent a new one.
Drilling & Tapping
This is the simplest method of attaching to a hull but this needs a reasonable thickness of steel and can be difficult if there are contaminants behind the plate. We hire out drilling machines to carry out this work and this needs divers with a degree of manual dexterity and skill.
Draxpanders
Over 800 of these bolts were used in the Erika salvage work. A semi-automatic drilling machine was developed to bolt an array of these Draxpanders onto the hull which the flange plates could then be fixed to. These plugs need a degree of feel from the diver to attach efficiently.
Swage-Anchors
These anchors can be deployed by ROV or diver. They work by drilling through the hull. when through, a hydraulic supply is fed to their own built in jacks which swage the anchor into the hull when energised. The anchor can either fix a lug to the hull or can be screwed to the large diameter thread on the jack body.
