CNC Wire Erosion

Wire erosion is a form of precise profiling - the high speed brass wire acts like a cheese cutter but the brass wire does not touch the job - an electrical spark is discharged from the wire to the job, eroding the material away. Precise components like gear teeth and hard materials like carbide can be cut.
